Mason City Schools
Improvements to Mason City Community School’s Middle School and High School Campus facilities were implemented over multiple phases of construction that spanned over five years. Originally constructed over fifty years, the school district wanted to retain and improve the educational environment and the energy efficiency of this campus so that it is able to continue serving Mason City for another fifty plus years. Improvements included:
- Building envelope upgrades including insulating exterior walls replacing roofing and replacing existing windows and doors
Mechanical and electrical system replacements - Fire sprinkler protection
- Accessibility improvements
- Increase day lighting through new skylights and additional windows
- FEMA Safe Room / Multipurpose Room Addition
- Classroom renovations
- Food service addition and renovations
- Office and Common Space Renovations
